Cannot remove spell checker

Hi
I cannot remove spelling and grammer checker in Word XP.
I have done all of the usual things and the checker is turned off, but you can turn it back on again.

I need the feature removing completely so it cannot be started again. I have gone into proofing tools and removed the option to use that feature, and have also removed office and reinstalled it without that feature, but you can still run it.

Also another problem on another machine is the spell checker will not automatically underline wrong words although the relevant options are selected in tools - options - spelling options.
As soon as you click on spell checker it then underlines everything, but it does not do it automatically???

You haven't specified all of the usual things. Does this include the [Do Not Check Spelling Or Grammer] option, which can be applied to a whole document and should be valid between machines.

Yes, I have done that and all of the other things that it tells you about in the help files.

I just cant get the actual feature uninstalled so that you cannot use it altogether.
