My BES is on a Win2k3 server and I am running a Ex2k server on Win2k.
I have recently introduced a Ex2k3 server and have migrated all of my non BB users to it.
So it is time to get the BES setup for the new server.
I go to the BES, login as either Admin or Besadmin, they both has essentually the same credentials. Open add/Remove programs. Select Exchange 2000. ( note - exchange is not isntalled here, just the system management tools from sp2)
The setup windows opens. I select to CHANGE exchange server and REMOVE the management tools. It goes through tis routine. I have the old Ex2ksp2 files extracted to a temp folder so the installer goes there looking for files.
The removal fails with the following error:
An Unknowne Error Occured:
Facility: Win32
ID No. e0070101
Searching does not reveal much.
Anyone have any ideas?
I have verified that the Ex2ksp2 files are all there. I have run the update.exe file in the service pack to try to remove it that way. I have killed all of the BES services. Still get the same error.
