I am testing an add in. The test project I am using has an old version of the add in permanently installed from the Tools - Add Ins menu item. When I open the Add In manager it isn't there for me to uncheck. Does anyone have any idea how I remove all references to this add in for this particular database?

Thanks!

Can you search in the c:\windows\sys32 directory for the actual file(s) for the add-in? Surely you can look up the file names for the add-in. That may not be the correct folder, but I think it's gotta have a .dll file or some other system file in order to work correctly... but I've not dealt with add-ins in that regard for some time, and rarely at that.

Try looking in Tools|References and see if you can uncheck it there.

Cogito eggo sum – I think, therefore I am a waffle.

I had done all the things mentioned above. It turns out the issue was in the USysRegInfo table. This table is required for local addins. Each and every time you deploy the addin you need to set the correct path in that table.
