Cannot Remote Desktop to Server

Has anyone seen an issue when using remote desktop onto a windows 2003 server. The session opens and prompts for username and password and then throws you off and closes the session.

The server event log then has the following information in it

Application Error Event ID 1000

Faulting application , version 0.0.0.0, faulting module
ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.0, fault address 0x0001d61b

What service pack are you running on your Windows 2003 server?

At present none but if not fixable then we are due to move to SP1 after testing. This will probably fix but looking at present to fix without SP1.

also started getting 1030 and 1058 alerts in event log near enough they both started occuring at the same time just after a power cut at the site.

You might want to run a repair of the OS to resolve the issue.
