Cannot receive messages with qmail

I installed qmail using instructions from qmailrocks.org.
Everything worked well. I can send to the world messages using smtp, works fine
I can send and receive messages between the users of the domain I defined, but I do not receive messages from outside world and do not get any error messages. Anyone can give me a tip what to do?

What steps did you can concerning DNS and your "A" and "MX" records? Did you allow them to propagate?

Have you confirmed that your external firewall interface provides the appropriate level of access?

Have you tested accessing port 25 from an external host? What happens?

What do your qmail error logs say?

Many thanks for the tip. That was firewall issue. Ports were not open for this server for outside connections.
Just to double check: to receive messages from other servers, on my server I sould have opened incoming port 25, right?
Do I need to open this port for outgoing connections?

Incoming email goes to 25.
Outgoing will likely originate from a random, high port to the remote server's 25
