In WIN2K we are able to publish Impromptu reports using IWR, but when we import our MS SQL2K model via ODBC DSN into Architect we cannot publish. Architect's Verify function fails with the following error messages:

[MD-2103] The user class "Administrator" does not contain references to any view objects, and "Administrator" may be incomplete.

[MD-2100] The user class "Root User Class" does not contain any restriction objects, and "Root User Class" may be incomplete.

What are view and restriction objects in this context and how can we create references to them? (The links and permissions are all set up in Access Manager).

Dug deeply into this excellent web site but couldn't find anyone else with this problem. Thanks in advance.

The are Warnings, not errors - you should be able to publish anyway....

The UserClass "Root User Class" does not contain references to any View objects, and "Root User Class" etc

Problem Description
-------------------

What causes the following message to show up?

The UserClass "Root User Class" does not contain
references to any View objects, and "Root User Class" may be incomplete

Solution Description
--------------------

The MD:2103 is just stating that a user class has no associated view (views are used to manage the apex/clip rules for viewing objects in the model). Again, since this is the root, there is no surprise here.

The UserClass "Root User Class" does not contain any Restriction objects

Description:

What causes the following message to show up?

The UserClass "Root User Class" does not contain any
Restriction objects, and "Root User Class" may be incomplete.

Solution:

The MD:2100 is simply stating that a user class has no restrictions. This is not an error as root user account will likely not have any restrictions attached to it.
