Please bear in mind that I no pretty much nothing about postscript printers and their "proper" setup. Here is my situation:
- I have Pagemaker 7.0.
- I have an HP 5500 postscript printer.
When I print to the HP 5500 (PCL), it will print in color just fine. However, there is no way (at least that I know of) to perform duplexing during the print job.
When I attempt to print to the HP 5500 (PS), I first have to go under "Options" and uncheck "Write Postscript to file" in order for the "Save" button to turn into a "Print" Button. However, under the "Color" settings, I can only print to "Grayscale" or "Print Colors in Black". There is no option for "Color".
I recently took over as the IT person for this company, and this particular PC and printer worked fine before. However, I had to reformat the drive and reinstall Pagemaker and other software. Now, I cannot figure out how to get everything working the way it was before. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
