Cannot place mouse pointer into body of email

When trying to compose an email in Outlook, mouse pointer does not work. I want to be able to place a cursor with the mouse into the body of an email so I can start typing my email. I can only get to the body of email by using the Tab key. I would like to be able to have both options. I am able to use both options in other two computers I have.
