Hi
I have a PC running Win2k with 2 nics. One is connnected to the LAN , the other to an ISP for internet access. When i install TCP/IP and configure both cards i'm able to ping from that machine to both NICs ip addresses and other machines on the network and vice versa. The problem is when i restrart the machine i'm not able to ping the ip addresses from the network , but before reboot was able to. I thought it was a routing problem but the routing table doesn't change after re-booting. Any ideas what is wrong?

Check your gateway addresses on the PC with 2 nics.

If you have a gateway address on each one it's probably getting confused. If you LAN is a single subnet, then just put the gateway on the ISP nic and leave the gateway on the LAN nic blank.

Do an ipconfig /all for both and compare them to see if anything is strange. Good luck.
