Cannot ping Contivity 1700 LAN/Management address

G'day all.

For some stupid reason I cannot ping the LAN or Management addresses of my Contivity 1700. We have other boxes in other offices and I can ping those but not mine. I've compared the configs between the boxes but I've not found anything different.

Yes, the box is alive, I'm on the same subnet and I can ping all other addresses on the subnet

What am I missing here?

Hello

maybe, you did have set a filter of Lan Interface "deny Ping / all " ?

did you ping the ip or the dns name from the Contivity ?

Yeah, good points. There are no filters in use and I'm pinging the IP.

This is really weird as I can find no config differences between the boxes I can ping and the one I can't.

My first suggestion would be to check your default route on the contivity.

Can you use the GUI? If so, then it is clearly a firewall issue. Another test would be to try to FTP to the box (if FTP is enabled).

Problem solved!!

ICMP was not enabled under Services\Available
