Cannot Ping Computer

I have a desktop and laptop using wireless interet in the house. Can connect to the internet just fine with each one.

However, I went through all the networking wizards and cannot get the wireless network to work.

I tried to ping each computer and it times out. When I turn off norton personal firewall -- I can ping the IP address.

I went through the norton network wizard and still nothing. Does this have anything to do with my failure to set up the network. Are the two related?

Any help is appreciated.
