Cannot ping certain machines when VPN from home

Hey all,

When I vpn from home I am able to connect fine(using pptp client in windows 2000). I connect fine, run a batch script that connects my network drives fine as well. Only problem is..we have a hp unix machine on the inside that runs a database..when I am connected at home I cannot ping this IP address and in turn cannot use the app that uses the database...any ideas why this happening..config is listed below. Check the default gateway on the UNIX box, and/or add a static route on the unix machine with destination=10.1.1.0
and gateway=pix
