Phones in the same ring group can pick up internal calls from each other, but not external.

How can I enable this? I have looked at COS but can only find yes or no for call pickup generally, no separation between external and internal.

In class of restrictions, groups are listed, 1-5,60-65 etc but I cannot see how these are defined, and i am not sure if they are relevant for this problem.

Any help gratefully received,

Thanks

What happens when you attempt to use pick-up to grab an external call? Specifically, does anything show up on the display of the phone you are attempting the p/u from? ("Not Allowed", perhaps?)

Also, are you attempting a directed or group pickup?

Thanks for the reply. The message I get is "Not Allowed" and it is a group pickup

Then it's probably a COS or Interconnect Restriction issue. Check both for all phones AND trunks involved here, make sure pickup is enabled, and the phones and trunks are not restricted from each other in Interconnect Restriction Assignment.

The trunks are ringing to a prime DN, yes? Pickup Groups cannot contain non-prime DN's.
