Hello all,

Somebody sent me a universe I need to work on, and Designer XI refuses to open it, since I am working with my own BO CMS repository.

"You are no authorized to use this document (FRM 00008)
Details: The universe belongs to another CMS. You cannot open it unless connected to the same CMS it was imported from"

How can I move a universe between two different CMS systems?
I am aware of the "Save As"->"Save for all users" check box,
which addresses an issue like that when the user author of the universe is different from the user that has to modify it.
But in my case, it seems the issue is worse, and I cannot even open the file because I am using a development environment.

Do you know any way to solve the issue ?

Best regards

Oliver

You need to use the migration tool. That's the only way to do this.

If you want to trick it, rename the universe and then try and import it. I believe I have gotten that to work.

Thanks,
Jen

That doesn't work either. You have to save it so that security is removed from the universe. In the 6.x world that meant using Save for All Users or using a General Supervisor ID.

If simply renaming it works, then there is a big security hole in the product.
