Hi,
I have an application used by 4 people on a network. This morning it cannot be opened and gives the message

"The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

Is there any way I can break into this to rescue the data that was entered last friday? I have tried to link or import the tables, and to open it exclusively - all attempts give the same error message.

The db is Access 2000.

Thanks for any help or advice in advance...
Ken

There can be a chance of .ldb is not deleted from the folder due unexpected closing of Access by incorrect way. check the folder where your db locates. This will the same name of your DB. If there delete it.

Remember!! Dont forget to take backup copy of yur DB.

Hi Zameer,

Thanks for the reply, ldb file had gone. I have no idea how they created this problem but we do have a back up from earlier in the day. A lot of new data had been entered hence the desire to rescue it if possible.

Try an Advanced Search on keywords ".ldb","multiuser", you will find many posts on this problem
