Cannot Open Multiple Browsers on IE 6.0

I have a problem on one workstation. When I open a webpage, and I need to open another simultaneously, the first one closes and the next opens on the same window. I cannot open multiple browsers. I tried looking at all the settings, but I can't figure it out. Our CRM system is web-based, so if the user is on the CRM and tries to do research on the internet, she looses the CRM connection as soon as she clicks on the IE icon. How can I fix this?

In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, check the setting for 'Reuse windows for launching shortcuts.' It should be unchecked.

If so, run IEFix as there may be a missing DLL registratiion:

I tried both and neither worked. Should I uninstall and reinstall Internet Explorer?
