I am having a problem when clicking on web links in Outlook 2007 on the local Server 2008 machine and also via terminal server web services (on the same machine). When I click on a link I receive the error "General Failure. The URL was: " Application not found." I found the most common cause is when Internet Explorer is not the default web browser, but I have checked (several times) and IE is the default browser. I tried resetting IE settings,but nothing is working. I would not even be opposed to using Firefox as the default, however with firefox I can successfully click links in Outlook on the local machine and they open, however I get the same error message when connected via terminal services. Please help, this is drving me crazy!
