Cannot open hyperlinks after conversion

I have a simple access 97 form that acts as a front end that users can access reports by clicking on a hyperlink. After converting this from Access 97 to 2002, I lost the ability to access the files via the hyperlinks, I get a message" Unable to open ..\..\file name. cannot open the specified file ". Is there any way that I can convert in this way and keep the hyperlinks? or is it just a fact that you lose any links on conversion.

Can you give an example of how you're referencing the files? You may need to use UNC file references, if you're not already doing so.
