We have installed a new server (SBS 2008) and had to reinstall ACT 2009, have created new databases from a restore all ok and these can be accessed from the server but we cannot access the database from any of the workstations, we get the following error: "The database <Database name> could not be accessed. In order to access this database, check your network connection and verify that your database server is available. It may be necessary to disable any firewall software..." We have run through the standard document that is on act.com and this has made no difference.

We have also created a brand new database on the server and this also doesn't work so I'm quite happy with my databases and that the restore / database is all ok.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks for your advice, the firewall was the cause of the issues we were experiencing.
