Hello
I've just installed IIS 5.1 on windowsXP. I can't open asp-files (html and shtml work fine)!

*.asp is mapped in the Application Configuration of IIS. So maybe there is an error in the asp.dll??

Please help me!
Sam

I had the same problem and it turned out to require turning off the script blocking in Norton Anti-virus. Disabling it was NOT enough!!!

Dude,

You are a Godsend! I have been tearing my hair out trying to work out why IIS wouldn't serve any .asp pages on my local machine. I just bought a new machine with XP Professional on it, and couldn't find any solution to the problem. Nothing in Microsoft's Knowledge Base. And all the solutions given here at Tek-Tips hadn't been working (except that it confirmed I wasn't the only one, and it wasn't limited to me, to IIS5 or to XP...)

You have solved it! I can now save what little hair I have left!

Cheers,
PDM
