I have installed the admin tools from win2000 server disk to my workstion. however, I can't be able to use the active directory for users and computer. it says that " naming infomation is not located because the server is not operational" what the heck that means? I have no problem using other tools such as DHCP, DNS except active directory.

any info would be greatly apprecitated.

this refers to the last message:

My server/domain controllerdid configure to "permit all" for TCP ports, and I don't know why the active directory is not working.

tainguyen,

I am having the same problem. I have opened up all TCP ports. I am still going crazy trying to access AD from my 2000 Pro. I guess I am not the only one having this problem.

Could anyone help Pleeeeeaaase. Thanks

If the server is using NAT then try this at the command prompt on the server

netsh routing ip nat delete h323
