I have a second hard drive which is accessed by all users on my home network. It is accessable via Windows Explorer on the machine that it is installed on however I am unable to navigate the drive via a dos command prompt. Simply doing cd D:\ will not give me the drive. However, if I dir D:\folder\etc the contence of the folder is displayed.

I wish to store and access files using CVS versioning software but the wincvs software is displaying "Unable to initialize the CVS process: The system cannot find the path specified" when I try to access it.

CD D:\ is the wrong command. Just D: is what you need.

Doh! Of course, the only permutation that I didn't try or remember.

So . . . do you know anything about why wincvs says that the system cannot find the specified path? Or should I start a new CVS thread?

Sorted! Looked on the CVS thread and found a similar situation. Another doh! The repository folder was read only.

Thanks for your help wolluf!
