I started having this issue where "None" of my DB's are working due to the error "Cannot move focus to image XX (XX = image number) This started about two weeks ago with one of my major DB's, strange part is thew end user can open it without the error showing up(??) I have uninstalled and reinstalled access.....same issue will happen. This appears with no matter what DB I attempt to open that contains an image on the main page. I have even tried to remove the image in the DB's and reopen them......same error(??) I am stumped, can anyone help me with this one?? One other thing that I find, when this error appears, the only way I can get out of the DB is to do a "Cntrl ALT Delete" and remove a record lock 9. Let me know if I have confused you, I will be more than happy to try and break it down more. Rick

I assume you've tried repair and compact. Try closing your system and deleting the ldb file if it's still present. Another trick is to create a new mdb, and import all the objects from the original.

Mark,
I have tried the compact and compare...on all DB's with this issue(??) Strange part is this started to happen on multible DB's....I have uninstalled and reinstalled Access but the issue still appears. I am not sure why the image error is starting on DB's that have been in production for 6 months or longer AND why even if I close Access I still have to go in to processes and remove the "MSACCESS.EXE" and the "Record locks". Could this be the result of a service pack?? I am grabbing at straws but I am leary of creating anymore DBs. Thanks

Sorry Rick, but the only thing I can come up with is for you to do what you're already doing... something's different between your machine and your users'. You'll ned to track that down, service pack, etc. Good luck
