Cannot mount root

Hallo All,

A server was the subject of an unexpected power loss, and now seems to be stuck in an endless reboot sequence. This is what I get (connected via serial / hyper terminal):

Any idea what I can do to troubleshoot this thing?
 
Boot into single-user from the installation CD/DVD and see if you can mount it manually and/or perform an fsck on the device in question.
