cannot modify header error

Hi there,
I tried googling on this, but I can't really find a general cause of this kind of error?

Does anyone know what usually causes this kind of error?
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by ...

Any input will be greatly appreciated! thanks

I figured this out right after I posted it,
apparently, we cannot have any echo "blah" output anywhere before we have this header(Location:....) statement in php.

You can. But if you intend to, you must use output buffering:
