Cannot make outbound calls

We cannot make outbound calls but are able to receive only.The internal extensions are working fine.There is dial tone available but upon dialing number there is nothing whatsoever.
How can I check that the trunks are ok on our side before we call the service provider? We use IPS 2000 with Dterms.

Any help will be appreciated.

Two posts with the same problem! My guess is that you are both in the same area and the fault is external!
