I have SCO Unix 5.0.5 and I did a divvy -N -P which seemed to take forever. I opened another telnet session and it seems I can't even do an ls -l on /dev? What happened???
Not exactly sure without some more information but:
if you typed "divvy -n" instead of "divvy -N"
you could have reinitialized your partition. (bad)
if you did that, then i am a little surprised you could open a "telnet" session. Can you do directory listings on other things besides /dev ?
Write protect your last backup and keep it handy...you might need it.
Thanks for the reply. It really is divvy -N -P (not -n). I can still do a telnet session and ls other directories. My database server even works fine.
I tried to kill the divvy but it just won't "die." I just can't ls on /dev, though. What's my best option to get things back the same way as before?
