Hi
I tried to login to windows 2003 server this morning and the screen goes blank for a minute and logs me off saying 'please wait saing your settings'. Do any of you guys encountered this issue, Please help
I have tried to login with admin rights and also with different user name.
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Try going in from Safe Mode, see what happens there. (HOLD f8?)

If you can successfully log in with Safe Mode, then check Power settings in Control Panel > Display.

unfortunately this is a domain+dns controller and I cant restart it. Any other suggestion. Could it be due to RDP connections, how do i disconnect user sessions remotely?

I'm not fully understanding the situation but if you're saying you're unable to login at the console level then do this. You ask about disconnecting users remotely, meaning that remote desktop works just fine and the problem is at console level.

So to disconnect users, login as admin with rdp like the others are right now, go to terminal server manager, find the user(s) and right click and disconnect or log them off.

I was able to RDP before but not now, samething happens if I login thru RDP.

Wait till end of business day and try my solution with safe mode, I think that can help you troubleshoot your problems.
