I've recently taken over a network and I am trying to add a XP Pro computer to a 2K Domain. I'm loggin in with the administrator account but keep getting the message "the network name cannot be found". I'm not sure what steps to try next. This is really fustrating. All suggestions are welcome.

cannot log onto domain

If the machine hasn't become a member of the domain yet, you should be logging onto it with the local admin account until you get to the prompt where it asks for the domain admin account. Which are you using?
