I am failing to log into a Windows 2003 Server I have just installed. The error message I get is "NOT ENOUGH STORSGE IS AVAILABLE TO PROCESS THIS COMMAND". I have installed SP 2 for Win 2003 and the HDD Storage is 250gig and memory is 2 gig. I have changed the IRPStakeSize DWord value in the Registry to 50 (max recommended) but the error persists. However, I am able to log in Safe Mode.

How large is your paging file?

you may have a non-zero PagedPoolSize entry in the registry. Edit:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerMemory Management

Set PagedPoolSize to 0.

Also, do you have any service packs on this server? If not, do you have any media with SP2 already slipstreamed into windows 2003? I would recommend you download a copy of 2003w/sp2 already included. Hopefully, your EA agreement allows you to do this.

Also, check your event viewer while in safe mode to try and see if there are any other useful errors.

1. I have SP2 already loaded.
2. I have checked PagedPoolSize and its = 0.

Are there any applications that have been installed recently? You may have a corrupt application. While in Safe Mode, disable any services that you dont need, also, check your startup folder or registry under the HKLM and HKCU /RUN key and see what all is starting up. You may need to clear these settings.

1. I installed ACCPAC 55A and Pervasive Summit (Version 10)
2. The start up folder has nothing.
I have searched (in the Registry) for instances of HKLM and HKCU and there is no where where there is /RUN

Registry HKLM and HKCU stands for HKEY_Local_Machine and HKEY_Current_User drill down to Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/RUN

I guess you need to increase the size of the security log.

So is it fixed?
