Cannot log in to hotmail

I cannot log into hotmail. I've done all the searching on google and no luck so far. Tried all the suggested solutions. Nothing works. I can log into MSN Messenger 7.0 but can't get to my hotmail from there.

OS: Windows XP Pro
Wireless Broadband: 11Mbps

Any tips before I go crazy with frustration ?

The most common solution is to clean out your Temporary Internet Files and Temp files etc. Sometimes you may have to go further and delete the whole lot of folders like T.I.F., Cookies, and History, when there is a problem with corrupted Index.dat files. The folders and .dat files will be recreated next time you load Windows.

Hi buxtonicer1,

The tips you have been given so far are valuable and I would suggest that you follow them however there is another thing you should do, this will probably sound like a really weird tip to you, but I promise you it works.

First thing you have to do is make sure that your time and date are correct in your PC Bios, and then go into windows reset them to the correct date and time, (even if they are already correct) then restart your pc and you should be able to log into hotmail no problem.

Your hotmail account checks these when it is deciding whether or not it will allow you access to your account and if it has an issue with them it will not let you log into your account until you resolve it at your side.
