Hi, I am trying to load the snmp service on a windows 64bit 2003 server and am getting the following error during the install... in add/remove, I go into windows components, network monitoring and selected snmp and started the install....
in the middle of the install, I get a popup with the message "One of more services for the Simple Network Management Protocol component could not be started due to error 'The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.'. Installation will continue but services will not be avialable until they are started."
same thing appears in the event log. this is so vague I don't even know where to start to look to fix this... any thoughts?
