I've just started at a place which has a Windows 2000 Server setup with a number of Windows 2000 machines. There is a profile which is meant as a generic user profile for a room of public machines.
Firstly, I can't remove this user Account from Administrator privileges. It's baffling me, but whenever I remove the 'member of' Administrators from the group and the individual profile, it reappears shortly after.
The main trouble is that this is the message I get when any machine tries to log onto this profile:
---------------------------------------------------
Windows cannot load the profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.
---------------------------------------------------
Knowledge base says this can be solved with the latest service pack, but this is not the case.
Is this a common problem? What do I need to look for??
Thanks
