Cannot load an IDAPI service library

Hi

When I try to connect with an alias in the BDE. I get the following error.

Exception in EDBEEngine in module GRMS.exe
Cannot load an IDAPI service library
File : SQLORA8.dll
Alias : Grmsm

I also get the following error if I try to run my application.

The dynamic library ORA805.dll could not be found in the specified path .......

I am using Delphi 7 and Oracle 8.1.7. Oracle 7 is also installed on this machine.

Please help.
This is very urgent. I am at my clients offices so don't have a lot of time.

Hi.
I've had a similar problem för a couple of years ago.

It was something about the .dll file.
You had to change the dll used by the BDE to solve it.
(In the BDE Admin Tool)

This is just memory notes, I don't know if this is the solution, but you wrote this was very urgent...
