Hi folks,

I have an issue launching a JavaScript applet from IE 6.

I can browse the web no problem, but when I try to access some of my membership sites which when ‘login’ is clicked the sign-in applet should launch, but nothing at all happens.

I can access the said sites from another notebook on the same network.

I am running Norton Anti Virus Pro 2004, but have read all the help and config files but cannot see how this would hinder the process.

Anybody else had this problem??

More importantly, did you fix it !!!!!!!!

Thanks

Jon

Are these Java applets or Javascripts? The two are very different things. Javascripts are not considered applets so I'm thinking that you're using Java applets. Make sure you have allowed Java to run on your browser.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

Sorry friend, my mistake, not to clever at this !

The new window is launched using JavaScript, I saw this because I tried right clicking the login button, a new window launched but displayed the 'couldn't find...' msg.

In the address bar was JavaScript() (or similar)

Thanks

J

Can you supply a link to one of these sites? Also, have you done any recent updates to IE6?

Also, do you have a popup blocker installed and active?

Gotta be your browser/system. Works for me on fully updated IE6.
