Hi, im having trouble joining two paths/lines i drew. i use my pen tool and hover over the first path and i get the "division sign" which enables me to join the first path, but then i go over to my second path so i can join them together and the little circle never appears (which is a sign to join the two together), i even tried right clicking to joint them manually by selecting both of them but that doesnt work either. Is there also away whefre you can just highligh your whole piece and just click join and itll automatically join the paths together?

Join only works on two "open" end points on a line. Select the point using the direct selection tool (open arrow tool) and then join the paths. If this does not work, make sure you are only selecting the two open end points on the paths you are joining, and not including any "stray" points. YOu can get rid of stray points by doing Object > Path > Clean Up

thanks for the rply, but its not working, i selsec two open endpoints and select join, but that doesnt work, and nothing else is selected liek stray points. when i click join i get this message: "to join, u must select 2 open endpints. if theyre not on the same path, they cannot b on text paths, nor inside graphs, and if both of them r grouped they must be in the same group" thats what i get so it must be one of these things thats holding me up from joining them, let me know if oyu can further help me with this problem. thanks
