I have a few PCs where, in Network Neighborhood...
I add the tcp/ip protocol. Windows re builds the drivers,
but I have one of the following problems:

1. TCP/IP is gone on reboot.
2. TCP/IP is there, but will not bind to the NIC.

I am running Novell Client 32 and Microsoft Networks clients.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

I have seen this happen many a time. First check your device manager and see how many NIC cards are showing up there. Most of the time there will be a couple from incomplete NIC installs. If there are remove all and on reboot make sure you can complete the NIC install without any problems. If multiple NICs' are not the case then, remove everything in your network setup and start over with installing the NIC first. Then if that takes install everything else but one at a time. Lastly, make sure the got a good NIC. Good Luck.. May the computer Gods look brightly on you.

Thanks. I plan to be doing that soon as I am moving
the client from Novell to NT.

Once again, it is proven that marketing the lesser
technology well, will win the day. [sig][/sig]
