I am installing SPS2003 on IIS6 and SQLServer 2000 sp3a. This is a single server install.

When I get to the selection of install db or not install db it is greyed out and defaulting to install(MSDE).

Am I missing something here?

Thanks.

Hello,

Make sure that you have chosen a server farm installation (even though you are running a single server). With the server farm installation option you will be able point the creation of your databases to an SQL server instead of MSDE.

Cheers,
Thomas

Thanks for the reply Thomas2000,

However, when I am at the point of choosing the server farm(Without DB), the choices are greyed out and MSDE(With DB) is auto selected.
