cannot identify other computer in my home netowork?

Hi,
I have two machines( each with window 2000 Prfessional) connected through a 4 port hub. Now I am not able to identify and connect to the other computer from my computer. How can I troubleshoot?

make sure all the systems have the same "Workgroup" name.

Make sure both computers have a different computer name other than the default computer name that it might have after the install.

Might be an idea to use a network signon and not a local computer signon.

Turn on Computer and printer sharing. You may also have to select a drive or just one folder for sharing. It works best to share one folder and put the sharing items in that. You can easily make subfolders in the shared folder for your particular organizational needs.

I like to put everything I download or keep in a floder called c:\temp\<new folder> rather than My Documents.
