Cannot get to altavista

I think I have a virus that will not allow me to get to any search engine but Yahoo. When I try, I get a white text screen saying I have a virus and I need to click here to remove it. This I will not do. My Nortan is up to date but not detecting anything. Can anyone offer any suggestions.

for more details on the virus? It will also tell you the best way of removing the virus. If you are using WindowsXP make sure you turn off system restore to.

Just thinking about it, it most likely spyware or adware on your computer. Try programs such as spybot of adware see what they detect.
