I am trying to instal NetLink Modem Router for a small windows network (running NT4 and 98 clients). I have set up the router so that it is not providing dhcp, but in the router manual, it specifies that the router ip address should be set at 10.0.0.x, subnet 255.0.0.0.
If my LANs IP range is 192.168.x.x, subnet 255.255.255.0, does this mean that i have to change my LANs IP range - or should i be able to configure the router in the range 192.168.x.x?
I have managed to get the router to perform sync with ISP, resolve a DNS query but it fails when it goes to ping Message is not failed but something vague that is not mentioned in the help file!
I am not sure if this is enough info for anyone to help, but please ask anything else that i have missed!!
