Cannot get Qube 2 to forward network traffic

I just bought a used Cobalt Qube 2 on Ebay. I know this product came out before Sun aquired Cobalt, but I would assume that it is similar to the present version of the Qube. Any, my network consists of a cable modem and a four port router. What I would like to do with the Qube is put it between the router and cable modem (the router's WAN port to the Qube's primary, and the modem to its secondary). I cannot seem to get this to work as I would like it, however. I am sure that the router can get to the Qube; I can access the administration screen, as well as the previous owner's website. The problem is that I can't get to the rest of the Internet. I can't even ping anything out of my network. I have played around with the settings in the Network screen on the Qube's admin site, putting in the ISP's DNS server IP's and gateway, and the IP for the secondary port, with no luck. I also told the IP firewall to allow all traffic (for testing purposes; I'll close the unused ports once everything is running smoothly).

Thanks for any help, and I am sorry if this post touches on networking too much.

I have had exactly the same problem! I got eStamps old Qube and have had exactly the same issues. When resetting the DNS and IP info in most cases it doesn't seem to 'stick' and after a reboot the info is gone.

I notice there is no solution mentioned but I have to say I feel better knowing I'm not the only one to have this problem.
