Cannot get project into VS.NET 2003 1

I downloaded someone's project from the internet. I created a new folder in the

http://wwwroot

folder, copied all the files to the new folder, then create a virtual web site using IIS. The project runs fine, but now I want to get it into Visual Studio. I have tried for hours with no success. Can someone tell me the right way to get an existing project into Visual Studio 2003?

Try creating the solution and project first through VS, then add the files to the

http://wwwroot

and see if that helps.
