This is my setup: I have a wireless network with a Netgear access point/router. This is connected through one of its LAN ports to an Actiontec Gateway, which connects to a DSL line. DHCP is enabled in the Actiontec Gateway and disabled in the Netgear AP. I am trying to get Internet access for three computers (one Win 98, one Windows ME and one Windows XP)through the wireless network.
I have managed to get the Win98 and WinXP machines to work. The Windows ME machine, however, is not receiving an IP address from the Actiontec. It is making a solid wireless connection to the Netgear AP, but for some reason it will not get an IP address when connecting wirelessly. It will, on the other hand, get an IP address when I use a cable connection to either the Netgear AP or Actiontec Gateway.
Any ideas on what the problem could be? Thanks for any help you can provide.
