I need to get into sony vaio pcg fx120 bios but it asks for password which i have forgotten. Is there any way to delete
the password so that i can get into bios?Need help will appreciate it.
There might be a jumper on the motherboard that will erase the BIOS password. If you are lucky, it might be labeled, otherwise, you'll have to look it up on the web to find which one it is.
There is an easier way than to completely remove the battery. Check your mobo manuel and there should be a jumper that you can short to delete the password. Removing the battery will erase all your CMOS settings and could be a problem later down the road.

The time your battery is out makes no difference if you dont start your system to reset the bios while its out. Try this. Got to site and DL manual for posible jumper settings. Let us know. Let everything that have breath praise the Lord.
I dontwantto take such drastic action as to loose the bios
if i start the system after removing the battery. Need any
other solution. I have Phoenix bios on the Sony laptop. Tried default bios of phoenix *phoenix* and it did not work.
Any other suggestions. Someone said there is a program to
remove bios password but the site has been cancelled.
Any other input welcome.
Go to this site and download WipeCMOS to clear your bios password and settings. Make sure you have a boot disk coz you have to run this tiny program in real DOS mode.
Just the battery not the bois. and then shut the system down and put the battery back.
1. Remove the battery
2. start the system
3.turn off system
4. replace the battery
this should work or you need to get the jumper information from the OEM
OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Let everything that have breath praise the Lord.
