cannot get firmware installed router

I'm trying to update the firmware for my d link router
i've downloaded the .bin file to my desktop , here's the problem when i go to to configuration page for the router (192.168.10.1) all i get is little white boxes with little red x's where pictures should be. no options ,

You can try right clicking on each of the images and selecting load image. If that doesn't work, the look at the page source. You can issue any of the commands manually from the URL line, just by entering the data that is attached to the link. If there are any variables, you can usually do a reasonable job of guessing what they should be based on the active content of the page (if there is any).
