Hello all,

I am a newcomer to the Merlin Magix. We inherited several customers when the company I work for bought out a competitor who had retired.

The customer currently has 5 phones on a calling group (791). When one of the two operators uses the transfer feature to send an incoming call to the hunt group, it will ring and never return to the originating phone of the transferred call.
The hunt group is set to Group Ring, Calls in Que are 1/1/1. No Delay announcements, overflow, or coverage groups set.

Essentially, they would like calls transferred to the Calling Group to return to one of the two receptionists originating the transfer(100 and 104) if the department does not answer within a certain amount of rings (Currently, the transfer return timer is set at 6 rings, and all voice mails active are set to 3 to 4 rings).

Thanks in advance.

Greatness is the echo of a life well lived and a job well done.

The only way to get that to work on a Magix is to create that "group" as an adjuct extension (phantom extension). It won't work as a traditional group. Put a coverage button for that new phantom extension on each of the group members. Now, when you call that phantom extension it will ring on the coverage button of each phone. You can have up to 8 people cover one extension so this will work in your situation. Now, change the group coverage delay for that phantom extension to greater than the transfer return ring for the system. That way, it will cover back to the person transferring the call.

Thank you. I will do that. Transfer return didn't matter before when they staffed that department. Now that they've leaned it out, they need unanswered transfers to return to the originators.

Worked like a charm. Thanks again!
