Cannot generate CSR for Certificate renewal

We have Windows 2003 server with Exchange 2003 and IIS 6. Twice before I have generated a CSR, once to get the certificate and once to renew the certificate. I know I have to create another website other than the default, which I did in the same directory (C:\inetpub\ I used port 81 because our real one uses 80. The wizard goes through right to the end. When I choose where to put the .txt file I get Access is Denied no matter where I try to save the .txt file. Any help would be appreciated.
