Would someone PLEASE explain to me where this is? I've searched my Disk. I've searched my Office Pro Set up Disk. I've searched the Developers disk. I've reinstalled both products. I've gone to the MS web Site, Google, and every other help web site I can find.

I'm trying to get the online help for Add Method(Placeholder). I'm trying to write the code behind an ActiveX Tree Control.

I have the file on my old Visual Studio 97 box in 'C:\Program Files\DevStudio\VB\Help'

However, it is just a VBA help file an doesn't have anything about treeview controls.

The best documentation is in the MSDN library that comes with Visual Studio.

the reference is just to the help file that you indicated. I have never used the addMethod but here is the help file info:
Add Method (Dictionary)

Description

Adds a key and item pair to a Dictionary object.

Syntax

object.Add key, item

The Add method has the following parts:

Part Description
object Required. Always the name of a Dictionary object.
key Required. The key associated with the item being added.
item Required. The item associated with the key being added.

Remarks

An error occurs if the key already exists.

Applies to:
Dictionary Object

Description

Object that stores data key, item pairs.

Syntax

Scripting.Dictionary

Remarks

A Dictionary object is the equivalent of a PERL associative array. Items, which can be any form of data, are stored in the array. Each item is associated with a unique key. The key is used to retrieve an individual item and is usually a integer or a string, but can be anything except an array.

The following code illustrates how to create a Dictionary object:

Dim d 'Create a variable
Set d = CreateObject(Scripting.Dictionary)
d.Add "a", "Athens" 'Add some keys and items
d.Add "b", "Belgrade"
d.Add "c", "Cairo"
...

These should all be in your vbHelp files that come with your Office set up. Try adding all of the vB help files in Office setup.
