Cannot find the menu-generation program?

I switch from project to project many times. Several times a day I get the following message: Cannot find the menu-generation program when trying to create and .exe (using VFP 8 SP1).

I know where to find the this program and when the right location is selected it works again. But this error comes back too often.

Any suggestions? Regards, Gerrit

After you go to Tools->Options and set the file location, do you click the Set as Default button?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I did use the Set as Default button. The problem keeps coming back at irregular intervals many times a day.

I think the error message indicates that the programs GENMENU and GENSCRN cannot be found. Have they been moved from the VFP8 main directory? Set a path to the directory in which the programs are located and see if solves the problem.

Are you by chance somehow clobbering your _GENMENU system variable? Like using it in your app somewhere?
Maybe set a breakpoint on that variable and see if it changes.
